Pyrantel Pamoate

Pyrantel pamoate is an anthelmintic or deworming medication. It works by causing neuromuscular blockade in sensitive parasites, paralyzing them and allowing them to be expelled naturally from the body through bowel movements.

Dosage by Body Weight

Standard dosing is calculated at 11 mg/kg (up to a maximum single dose of 1 gram). For pinworms, a single dose is administered, and it is highly recommended to repeat the dose in 2 weeks to prevent reinfection. Shake liquid suspension well before use. It can be taken with or without food.
